This policy explains what information Joe Tome, a licensed real estate broker with Grand Properties Real Estate, collects through this website, why, and what happens to it.
Plain version up front: I use your information to help you buy or sell a home. I do not sell it, and I do not hand it off to other agents or lead-generation companies.
What I collect
When you fill out a form on this site, I collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, property address, and the answers you give about your timeline and situation.
When you visit the site, my hosting and analytics tools automatically collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived here.
I do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, bank account numbers, or financial account credentials through this website. If a form on this site ever appears to ask for those, do not enter them and please contact me.
Why I collect it
To respond to your inquiry, prepare the analysis you requested, schedule a call, follow up about your real estate goals, and send market updates if you've signed up for them.
What I do not do with it
I do not sell your personal information.
I do not share your information with other real estate agents, brokerages, referral networks, or lead-generation companies. Submitting a form here does not put you in a system where multiple agents contact you.
I do not sell sensitive personal information under any circumstances.
Who does receive it
I use outside services to run my business, and your information passes through some of them. Each one is contractually limited to providing that service:
- Customer relationship management (CRM): stores your contact information and our correspondence
- Email delivery: sends the emails you receive from me
- Text messaging: delivers text messages if you consented to them
- Scheduling: manages calendar bookings
- Website hosting and analytics: operates this site and reports aggregate traffic
- Advertising platforms: this site uses tracking pixels, including from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, which allows me to show ads to people who have visited this site. This means those platforms receive information about your visit.
I also work with Grand Properties Real Estate, my brokerage, which has access to transaction records as required by Minnesota law.
I will disclose information if required by law, court order, or a government request, or where necessary to complete a real estate transaction you have asked me to handle.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic function, analytics, and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info and through your Facebook and Google ad settings.
If your browser sends a universal opt-out or Global Privacy Control signal, I will treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.
Text messages
If you gave consent, I may call or text you at the number you provided, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of any service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from me. Reply HELP to any text message for assistance.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
If you gave me only an email address and never checked the text-message consent box, I will not text you.
Every marketing email I send includes an unsubscribe link and my physical mailing address. Unsubscribing stops the marketing emails. It does not stop direct correspondence about a transaction you and I are actively working on.
How long I keep it
I keep contact information as long as our relationship is active and afterward for follow-up, unless you ask me to delete it. Transaction records are retained as required by Minnesota real estate law and my brokerage's record-keeping obligations, which I cannot shorten at your request.
Your choices
You can ask me to:
- Tell you what information I have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information, subject to the record-keeping obligations above
- Stop contacting you
Email or call and I'll take care of it. There's no form and no fee.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
I use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If I change this policy I'll update the date at the top.
